Nurseries and children's rooms are so much fun to design.
The past few months I have been working on a design for
Brett and Sarah Hutcherson for their baby boy expected to
arrive in late July.  The room was a surprise for the expectant
parents . . . and the big reveal was today.  I selected a fabric
from Carousel Designs called "Windy Day" and the coordinate
"Lotsadots", along with a ticking stripe  in a soft green and
white.    The "Windy Day" fabric had silhouettes of trees with
birds and dog in a swing.  There were shades of blue, green,
white and warm gray.

I selected this tree bookshelf to hold all of the books
for the new baby.  This is a wonderful accent to the
fabric with the trees.
The dog on the swing on the fabric was repeated on the
iron branch suspended with a swing and a very special
dog will spend a lot of time here.
The window treatment uses all three of the fabrics and is
tied onto a real birch branch.  There is an adorable
green embroidered ribbon accenting the polka dot band.
A personalized monogram pillow accents the glider.
What a wonderful spot to enjoy this little one.

A soft chenille shag rug accents the floor.  It will
provide a soft space for tummy time.
The bed skirt on the crib uses two fabrics in two
separate skirts.  When the mattress is lowered, the bottom
skirt will be removed.

It was such a joy to be a part of this wonderful project.
Many blessings to the new parents.  We can't wait for
him to arrive.
